Deutsche Accreditation Service for Certifying Bodies (DASCB) is Independent and non-profit board which provides Accreditation to Certification Bodies for various management system schemes as per ISO 17021, ISO 17020, ISO 17025, Personnel Certification Bodies as per ISO 17024 in the area of Certification Bodies, Inspection Bodies, Training Organization, Calibration Laboratory, Testing Laboratory, Medical Laboratory and Independent third party inspection as per ISO 17020 based on assessment of their competence and its criteria in accordance with DASCB and International Standards and Guidelines. It operates in accordance with relevant international standards and requirements and maintains integrity and impartiality while taking into account national and public interest. DASCB aims to establish an independent, impartial and transparent accreditation system. As a non-profit accreditation body, decisions made by DASCB are not subject to any commercial or financial obligations. DASCB is internationally recognized and objective of becoming a signatory to international Multilateral / Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MLA / MRA) simultaneously ensuring measures to safeguard impartiality and objectivity of its accreditation process. Accreditation approval committee makes decisions concerning about granting and continuation of accreditation services. DASCB is non-discriminatory and accept the application from conformity assessment bodies operating anywhere in the world, Accreditation program are accessible to all conformity assessment bodies, irrespective of size, location or affiliation, whose operation include activities for which accreditation program are currently available.DASCB operation are overseen by a governing board, The technical advisory board and the accreditation review board which allow DASCB to bring technical expertise and stakeholders involvement to the development of accreditation program and the accreditation decision making for customer or supplier who has been certified by the DASCB. The DASCB Secretariat is located in Bahamas and it is the administrative arm of the Board. The Secretariat is responsible for administration of the accreditation process, coordinating the technical committees associated with the accreditation programs, providing input into national and international committees and working groups and the development of new accreditation programs.
The Organization Structure:
Executive Director who is an impartial person in the board of management and advised by Advisory Board. The Advisory Board Committee is a representative for all interests of the board which lead by a Chief Advisor.
The Technical Team lead by Secretary General- Technical and assisted by Manager (Tech.) and Documentation Officer. The above core group is assisted by a team of trained, experienced, skilled and competent lead auditors based at different locations. They are graduates from different streams and are capable of carrying out assigned duties in all the industrial sectors and economies. Wherever necessary, we also outsource the auditing work to impaneled auditors, who are reputed in the field of their specialization. The services of technical experts are also utilized as and when required in their specialized fields. The organization further ensures that there is no conflict of interest between its two strategic wings i.e., marketing services and technical services, leading to certification decisions. Duties and responsibilities of all key functionaries of DASCB have been defined; liability insurance is in place and adequate financial arrangements have been made to provide stability and resources for the smooth operation of the organization.
About The Registration:
The DASCB Register helps you to locate certified organizations, Accredited Assessment Bodies (CABs), or Certified Personnel and It satisfies a part of the DASCB risk management strategy by assisting and identifying organizations that hold authentic DASCB accreditation certificates. If a certificate is not included on the register search link, the certificate should not be consider as valid and should be questioned by the recipient of the certificate.
The Certified Organizations database provides information on valid DASCB accredited certificate holders. There are several possible reasons why a certified organization may not appear on the register and therefore the recipient should not reject the certificate without further discussion with the issuing conformity assessment body (CAB). If you are unable to find a particular certificate holder in the database then you should contact the CAB who issued the certificate to confirm its validity.
CERTIFIED ORGANIZATIONS:
The major database contains all organizations who are certified for management system or products certification, independently certified by a CAB which hold accreditation from DASCB to perform such certification. More than a dozen management systems are included such QMS, EMS, OH&S and FSMS. This database also identifies companies whose products have been certified to various national and industry product standards by accredited product certification bodies. This database contains information supplied to DASCB by the accredited bodies that issues the certification. DASCB itself does not change or modify that information.
